And here we can see the fundamental problem with the MTU engined class 43 power cars! There is no way that a Paxman Valenta engined class 43 train would have been able to sneak through Derby station and catch me unprepared! I would have heard the mighty howl from miles away and been able to position myself for a nice shot. But no, instead we have these bloomin’ stealth engines!!
