Do you remember ReBoot? One of the first fully computer-animated television series, ReBoot followed a cast of characters living inside “Mainframe,” a city within a computer system. When a user inserted a game into the system, the characters could be forced to enter and play against the user, similar in concept to Tron or Wreck-It Ralph. The series originally aired on ABC from 1994 to 1996 but was cancelled after Disney purchased the network. | Disney History Channel

12 reactions | In the late 1960s, when mainframe computing was evolving, interactive computing was being done with time-sharing because it was economical. But, says Xerox PARC’s Butler Lampson, that wasn’t how anyone wanted to do it. Everyone wanted an efficient, working personal computer like the Alto.
