On February 16, 2026, at approximately 8:50 p.m., members of Rescue Company 1, other FDNY units and our partners at the NYPD operated on the Queensboro Bridge during a confined space rescue, locating a victim approximately 50 feet inside one of the bridge’s anchorages. Through coordinated teamwork, communication, and the use of specialized rope rescue equipment, members were able to safely remove the victim from the structure.
