Pencil test is part of a larger group of pre pointe assessment tests that measures ankle range of motion. Here’s how to do it: 1. Sit on the floor with legs straight out in front 2. Point feet 3. Place a pencil across the top of the ankle If the pencil lies flat against the foot without touching the shin, it indicates a pass. @thepointeshop does not offer the pre pointe assessment unless a fitter is trained as a physical therapist or a dance specific trainer.
