Taiwan will update its driver licensing system next year, introducing tougher written and road tests, along with stricter rules for elderly drivers, the Highway Bureau says. The changes are part of 17 reforms aimed at reducing traffic fatalities. The written tests will do away with "true" or "false" questions and be made up entirely of multiple choice questions. The age for mandatory physical assessment to determine if an older adult’s driver’s license should be renewed has been lowered to 70. #
