Not only was it dropped on concrete, the entire top of the case was removed including the fan. This is just my opinion and I don't have a way to positively confirm sales numbers, but the gaming industry appears to be making BILLIONS of dollars selling replacement controllers because they are intentionally using inferior parts that wear out, sometimes in a matter of months. I found these two broken special edition Nintendo Switch OLEDs on eBay and had to buy them to try to get them working again. The Tears of the Kingdom Switch has a charge issue and won't turn on. Plus, whoever worked on it before wrecked the controller rail ribbon cables. The Pokemon Switch charges fine but won't turn on. It has a broken screen so I'll need to find an OLED with a working screen to swap the parts into. | TronicsFix
